From the Zhejiang province in China comes this distinctive green tea in the Chinese village of Dragon Well.

Dragon Well, or traditionally called Lung Ching Tea, has a distinguished broad and flat leaf shape as a result of a very delicate and labor intensive drying process.

There is something to show for this hard work: Dragon Well tea is refreshingly smooth, sweet and delicate, among the very best of Chinese greens.

According to legend, the name Dragon Well comes from a local spring that was the lair of a dragon. The dragon came to the town's rescue, defending it against mongrels (yes, mongrels, they had them back then).

After the war the dragon left the town and never returned. But the villagers continued to use the water from the well to produce this special tea.
