Here's a tip after you bottled your tea...



To prevent having another little itty bitty culture form inside your bottled tea, try these two moves.

First, make sure you fill your tea up all the way to the tippy (yes, tippy), top. This will decrease the amount of oxygen inside the bottle which will decrease the chance of another culture forming.

Second, every other day gently turn your bottle upside down and then right side up again. By gently moving the liquid around, you will not give the bacteria a chance to form on top. This is the exact opposite of the "set it and forget it" principle of growing a culture.
