The Scoop
The Basics
Rooibos, also known as Red Tea... (or is it?*), comes from a South African red bush plant and not a tea plant.
Because of this, Rooibos contains NO Caffeine, yet shares many of the same health benefits of traditional tea.
Our Peach Rooibos offers a natural sweet brew with real fruit pieces. It is wonderful served iced, and your guests will be blown away that there is no sugar added to this delicious blend.
The Good Stuff (Impress Your Friends.)
Here's the scoop on the "Red Tea" name. Rooibos got its Red Tea name because of the Red Bush it grows from in South Africa. However, in China if you ask for a Red Tea, you will DEFINITELY NOT GET ROOIBOS.
That's because in China, Red Tea is referred to another type of tea. A very special type of tea named Pu-erh. To learn more about Pu-erh and it crazy healing properties check out our Pu-erh tea.
Don't you find it interesting that the two types of teas that can not be more different from one another, also share the same Red Tea name? Oh you don't, well I do, so there! :)
